Notifications
TixTrk's notification system keeps you informed when other users share trip plans with you. Notifications are lightweight and non-intrusive — they show up when something actually requires your attention.
The Notification Bell
On desktop, the notification bell icon sits in the header to the left of the search bar. A purple badge appears on the bell when you have unread notifications, showing the unread count at a glance.
TIP
The notification bell is currently a desktop-only feature. If you're using TixTrk on a mobile browser, you won't see the bell in the header.
What Triggers a Notification
At this time, notifications are sent when someone shares a trip with you using the direct share feature. You'll see one notification per share, identifying the trip that was shared and who sent it.
Reading Notifications
Click the bell icon to open the notification dropdown. All notifications in the list are automatically marked as read when the dropdown opens — there's no need to click through each one individually.
To act on a notification, click it. This navigates you directly to the Shared with Me tab in the Trip Hub, where you can view and manage trips that others have shared with you.
Automatic Cleanup
Notifications are not permanent. Any notification older than 30 days is automatically removed from your list, keeping the dropdown tidy without any manual management on your part.
