Notifications

TixTrk's notification system keeps you informed about new shows at your favorite venues and from artists you follow, as well as when other users share trip plans with you.

The Notification Bell

On desktop, the notification bell icon sits in the header. A purple badge appears on the bell when you have unread notifications, showing the unread count at a glance.

TIP

The notification bell is currently a desktop-only feature. If you're using TixTrk on a mobile browser, you won't see the bell in the header.

New Show Alerts

New show alerts notify you when a venue you've favorited or an artist you're tracking announces a newly visible event. TixTrk checks automatically when you log in, and every 30 minutes while the app is open.

What triggers a new show alert

  • A favorited venue announces a new event
  • A tracked artist announces a new show

What the notification shows

Each new show alert is a compact card displaying:

  • A Venue or Artist badge identifying the source
  • The venue or artist name
  • "New Show Alert: [Artist]" as the notification title
  • Show date and city
  • On-sale status pill — or "TBA" if tickets aren't available yet
  • Time elapsed since the notification was generated

Click the notification to jump directly to that venue's or artist's profile page, where you can browse the full event listing and add shows to your wishlist.

First login

On your very first login, TixTrk stamps a starting point for future checks but doesn't generate notifications for older historical events. New show alerts only fire for events announced after your first check.

Trip Share Notifications

You'll receive a notification when someone shares a trip with you using TixTrk's direct share feature. These notifications show the trip name and who sent it.

Click a trip share notification to go directly to the Shared with Me tab in the Trip Hub.

Reading Notifications

Click the bell icon to open the notification dropdown. All notifications are automatically marked as read when the dropdown opens — there's no need to click through each one individually.

Automatic Cleanup

Notifications are not permanent. Any notification older than 30 days is automatically removed from your list, keeping the dropdown tidy without any manual management on your part.
