Map
The Trip Hub map gives you a spatial view of your trip. Every venue, hotel, and point of interest from your itinerary appears as a marker on an interactive dark-themed map, making it easy to see how your plans cluster geographically and how far things are from each other.
The Map at a Glance
The map uses MapLibre and renders in a dark style that's easy to read at night or in low-light settings. It loads as the center panel of the three-panel Trip Hub layout and updates in real time as you add or edit itinerary items.
Automatic centering: when you open a trip, the map automatically centers on your destination city and zooms to a level that gives a good overview of the area. You don't need any items on the itinerary for the map to work — it will show the destination even on an empty trip.
Markers
Each itinerary item with a location generates a marker on the map. Markers follow the same color coding as the itinerary timeline:
| Item type | Marker color |
|---|---|
| Concert | Purple |
| Flight | Blue |
| Hotel | Teal |
| Activity | Orange |
| Meal | Yellow |
Items from the Essentials dock and The Bench that have a location attached also appear on the map in a neutral color to distinguish them from scheduled itinerary items.
Marker Popups
Tap any marker to open a popup with a summary of that item:
- Title — the name of the venue, restaurant, or place
- Venue — shown for concerts and activities
- Date and time — the scheduled date and start time from the itinerary
Tap the popup to open the full item detail view.
TIP
Use the map when scouting hotel options. Add candidate hotels to The Bench with a location and you'll see immediately how close they are to your concert venues.
Navigating the Map
The map supports standard pan and pinch-to-zoom gestures. Use the + and - controls in the corner to zoom with buttons. A "Recenter" button returns the map to the destination city view if you've panned far away.
