Essentials
The right panel of Trip Hub includes the Essentials dock — a place to track the details that don't belong on the timeline but still matter for the trip.
Essentials
The Essentials dock is a short list of trip-level items — things you need to have sorted before or during the trip regardless of the day-by-day schedule. When you add an essential, you choose a category to keep things organized:
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Gym | Day pass info, gym locations near the hotel |
| Work | Offices, coworking spaces, work locations near the venue |
| Document | Passport, ID, tickets, confirmations |
| Activity | Sightseeing spots, things to do between shows |
| Other | Anything that doesn't fit the above |
To add an essential, tap Add Essential, choose a category, give it a name, and optionally add a note.
Gym Day Pass
Essentials includes a dedicated Gym Day Pass field for tracking workout options at your destination. You can set this field to one of three values:
- Walk-in price — enter the cost for a drop-in visit
- Via app — access is handled through a third-party fitness app
- Not offered — the venue or area doesn't have a walk-in option
This keeps your fitness plans visible without cluttering the itinerary.
Import from Other Trips
If you've traveled to the same city before — or have another trip planned there — you can pull in essentials you've already saved instead of re-entering them.
When TixTrk detects other trips to the same destination, a clock icon appears next to the + button in the Essentials dock header. Tap it to open the Import modal, which shows essentials from all your matching trips:
- Category pills along the top let you filter by Gym, Work, Activity, etc.
- Multi-select — check the items you want, switch between categories, and your selections stick
- No duplicates — items you've already added to the current trip are automatically hidden
Tap Import and the selected essentials are copied into your trip with all their details intact — addresses, day pass info, and map pins included.
TIP
Matching works by city name, so "New York, NY" and "New York, NY, USA" both match. If your trips have GPS coordinates, TixTrk also matches destinations within 50 miles of each other.
TIP
Essentials items with a physical location appear as neutral-colored markers on the Trip Hub map, so you can see how they relate to your concert venues.
