Logistics Check

The Logistics Check setting controls how far in advance TixTrk starts alerting you when an upcoming trip is missing key bookings. It's a single threshold — the Trip Planning Window — that determines when the Dashboard shifts from passive to proactive about travel prep.

Trip Planning Window

The Trip Planning Window is the number of days before a trip starts at which TixTrk begins checking for missing logistics. The default is 45 days.

When a trip's start date falls within this window and the trip has no hotel or flight attached, TixTrk will show an alert on the Dashboard prompting you to add those details.

How It Works

TixTrk checks each of your upcoming out-of-town trips daily. If a trip:

  1. starts within the number of days you've set as your Trip Planning Window, and
  2. is missing a hotel booking, a flight, or both —

the Dashboard will display a logistics alert for that trip. The alert links directly to the Trip Hub so you can add the missing information.

Once a hotel and flight are added to a trip, the alert clears automatically.

TIP

Trips to venues within your Home Base radius are exempt from logistics alerts, since TixTrk treats those as local shows.

Adjusting the Window

You can change the Trip Planning Window to match how you prefer to plan travel:

  • Increase the window (e.g., 60 or 90 days) if you like to book hotels and flights well in advance, or if tickets to your preferred artists sell out quickly and travel fills up too.
  • Decrease the window (e.g., 14 or 21 days) if you tend to plan last-minute and don't want early warnings cluttering your Dashboard.

WARNING

Setting the window too low means you may not see alerts until it's too late to get good prices on flights or hotels. Consider your typical lead time when choosing a value.
