History Importer
The History Importer lets you bulk-add past concerts to your show history without entering them one at a time. If you've got years of shows to catch up on, this is the fastest way to get your history into TixTrk.
Getting Started
Open the History page and click the Add Past Shows button. This opens the History Importer, where you can paste in a list of concerts in whatever format you have them.
Pasting Your List
You don't need a specific format. The AI accepts a wide range of inputs, and it is fine if your memory is fuzzy. Some examples of what works:
Tool Mar 11 2022 ChicagoRadiohead in Boston, May 2016Pearl Jam in 2018Phish 11/22/1997 Hampton
Paste your full list into the text field (one show per line works best) and click Start Processing. The AI extracts the artist, date, venue, and city for each entry, then TixTrk checks each show against the Setlist.fm concert database to confirm the details.
TIP
Be as precise or as vague as your memory allows. An exact date gets confirmed automatically; a year or a month with a city gives you a short list to choose from. If a paste is very long and gets cut off, TixTrk tells you to split it into smaller batches.
Reviewing the Results
Each show lands in the review table with a color-coded status so you can see at a glance what needs your attention:
- Confirmed (green): TixTrk found a single, unambiguous match and pre-selected it for import. Nothing to do unless you want to deselect it.
- Choose a match (yellow): more than one show fits what you entered (for example "Pearl Jam in 2018"). Pick the one you meant from the ranked list. If the list is long, use Load more to see additional options, and a note tells you when the search was broadened to find results.
- Not found: the show is not in Setlist.fm as entered. You can edit the artist, date, city, or state right in the row and hit Re-verify, or check Import as entered to add it exactly as the AI read it.
- Couldn't check: the lookup hit a network or rate-limit snag. Use Retry on the row, or Retry all failed in the header, to try again.
- Already in your history: the show matches one you already have (same artist and date). It is left unselected so you don't create a duplicate, but you can still select it if you really want a second copy.
You can select or deselect any row, dismiss ones you don't want, and use the header checkbox to select or clear everything at once.
Importing
Once you're happy with your selections, click Import Selected. The chosen shows are added to your history immediately and appear on the History page. If any single show fails to save, it stays in the table so you can retry just that one.
