Beta Features
WebBeta features lets you try parts of TixTrk that are still being built. They may change, move or disappear as they take shape.
Turning it on
Open Settings and find the BETA card, just above Data. Tick Beta features. It saves as soon as you change it, and you can untick it at any time to go back.
- It is off until you turn it on.
- It belongs to your account, so it follows you to any browser you sign in on.
- It is a web setting for now. The iPhone app does not show beta features yet.

Find flights
On a trip with a concert, Trip Hub can search for nonstop flights that get you there before the doors open, and add one to your itinerary. Flights already on your itinerary stay there with Beta features off. See Finding Flights.
Mardi Gras parades on New Orleans trips
On a trip to New Orleans that has both a start and an end date, Trip Hub shows the City of New Orleans' Carnival parades for your dates.
- Discover events. Open Discover events from the menu beside the itinerary's + button (see The Add Menu) and pick Parades in the category list. Each parade shows its krewe, where it forms and disbands, and when it rolls. All lists parades alongside the other events; the other categories leave parades out.
- Add a parade. Tap + Itinerary on a parade to put it on your trip, at its roll time and starting point. The item stays linked to that parade.
- Re-time offer. If the City later moves a parade you added, the item says "Now rolls" with the new date and time, and asks "Update?". Update changes the item to the new date and time; Dismiss keeps yours, and the offer comes back only if the parade moves again.
- On the map. The trip map's header has Parades buttons, all off until you turn them on, and remembered on this device:
- Routes draws the route of each parade on your itinerary, and only those. Until you add one from Discover events, a line under the buttons says so. Tap a line on the map to see the krewe, when it rolls, and where it forms and disbands.
- It follows the day you pick in the itinerary's day bar: the map shows that day's parades, on the days they sit in your itinerary. If the day has none but another day does, the header says so (for example "None on Day 2") and offers Show all days.
- All days, a button beside Routes, shows every day's parades at once. It is remembered on this device too.
- Each parade keeps one colour for the whole trip, the same on every day it is on, with All days on or off, and in the legend. There are ten colours, so a trip with more than ten parades uses some twice; the legend and a tap on a line still name each one. Routes on the same day are set slightly apart, so routes that share a street stay visible as you zoom in.
- Services shows the City's first aid, port-o-let and lost children locations, coloured by kind.
- Legend. While something is drawn, a Legend button sits at the top right of the map, with the number of parades on it. Open it to see each parade's colour and the time on your itinerary (with All days on, grouped by day, and items with no date under No date), and the colour of each kind of service. Close it with its close button, with Escape, or by tapping the map.
- Routes draws the route of each parade on your itinerary, and only those. Until you add one from Discover events, a line under the buttons says so. Tap a line on the map to see the krewe, when it rolls, and where it forms and disbands.
- Before the City publishes. Until the City posts next season's schedule, TixTrk lists the announced parade dates on their own. Those show Time and route not final, have no route on the map, and get their time once the City publishes.
TIP
Times and routes can change for weather or safety. Check the City's announcements on parade day.
Calendar view of shows
On Shows, a List | Calendar switch at the right end of the Radar and Locked In tabs shows your shows on a month calendar. On a phone the switch is a calendar button in the same place. It follows the tab you are on: Radar shows your Maybes and the shows from the artists, venues and trips you follow, and Locked In shows your Going and Got tickets shows. Your search and filters apply.
- One month at a time. Start from this month and use the arrows to move forward.
- Trips. Your trips, and trips shared with you, appear as a bar across their days, so you can see what falls during a trip. Tap a trip to open it in Trip Hub.
- On a phone. Each show is a dot. Tap a day to list its shows and trip below the calendar. A show you have not saved is drawn dashed.
- A show's card. Click or tap a show to open its card (on a phone it slides up from the bottom). For a saved show it has the date, time and venue, lets you set Maybe, Going or Got tickets, says which trip it is on, and has Tickets and Open in list. For a show you have not saved it says why it is on your Radar, and has Save, Tickets and Open in list. Open in list takes you to the show's row in the list. Close it with its close button, with Escape, or by clicking outside it.
- Empty months. A month with no shows says so and offers the next month that has one.
